1. How do I prevent reclaim buildup in the showerhead perc?
To keep the tiny slits of the showerhead perc clear, change your water daily. For deep cleaning, use 91% or higher Isopropyl alcohol with coarse salt and shake gently; the alcohol dissolves the sticky resin effortlessly.
2. What is the ideal water level for the dual chamber?
Fill the rig until the water level is roughly 0.5 to 1 inch above the showerhead disc. This ensures all slits are submerged for maximum diffusion while maintaining enough space in the upper chamber to prevent splashback.
Heat the bottom of the banger evenly for 30-45 seconds with a torch. Let it cool for 45-60 seconds before applying your concentrate. This "low-temp" method preserves flavor and prevents the quartz from "chazzing" or becoming cloudy.
4. Can I use this rig for dry herb?
While you can swap the banger for a 14mm bowl, this rig is optimized for concentrates. The high surface area of the showerhead perc is excellent for vapor, but can clog more quickly with heavy flower resin.
